The 75th annual Tony Awards were a night to remember. They were a celebration of Broadway's return to prominence after two years of the COVID-19 pandemic. The shows that were nominated and won reflected the diversity of the Broadway community, with productions from all over the world and featuring performers of all different backgrounds.

The awards show was hosted by Ariana DeBose, who brought energy and excitement to the show. She was clearly having a great time, and so were we.

Here are some of the winners, performances, and highlights of the 2023 Tony Awards:

Ariana DeBose was a charismatic and funny host.** She opened the show with a musical number that paid tribute to Broadway's comeback. She also cracked jokes about the nominees, the pandemic, and her own career. She even performed a duet with her former Hamilton co-star Leslie Odom Jr.
